Hi.

Welcome to my blog. Here I write about my work, process, art materials, travel, places to drink coffee, things to read and inspiration.

Present <3

So what do you give as a present to a man born and bred in in a village just after World War II, who worked and lived in such different countries from his homeland like Mongolia and Guinea, married the most amazing woman, raised wonderful kids and built a fantastic summer house? And what do you give when this man is your granddad and your love can't be measured? :)

This year I made him a warm scarf. It's very wonky but made with all the love and good thoughts. So I hope it will keep him cosy and happy.

While I was knitting the scarf I remembered all those nice moments we shared with him. Like his super cheeky smile when he was cheating while playing cards and chess, all the board games and tea drinking. And realised that my memories of him are very different of his memories of me,  so I put together a small postcard set with some of the fun times we had together. ;)

I hope he will like it and the present will make the distance between us (thousands and thousands of kilometres) shrink at least for a moment. :)

Will have to think of something else for next Birthday. What do you think about this present? Have you done something similar? Would love to know if you have/or even thought about it! :)
